Trump Meets with FULL National Security Team Says Decision on Iran Coming Soon!

President Donald Trump said Thursday he will soon decide whether to resume major military strikes against Iran, following a meeting with his national security advisers after the midterm elections, according to the supplied report.
Trump is weighing three potential paths: renewed bombing, continued economic pressure or a negotiated agreement involving significant concessions to Tehran. No final decision on renewed military action has been announced.
“Now we will make a decision,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, raising the possibility of additional strikes aimed at ensuring Iran cannot rebuild its nuclear program.
The president said he would prefer to avoid further destruction but left military action on the table.
Diplomatic Proposal Under Discussion
As Trump considers his next move, regional mediators are working to secure an agreement that could reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restart nuclear negotiations.
According to regional sources cited in the report, Qatari mediators are discussing a proposal involving reciprocal steps over two days:
- First day: The United States would lift its naval blockade and release some frozen Iranian funds. Iran would formally invite International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to visit bombed nuclear facilities under an earlier agreement reached in Cairo.
- Second day: The Strait of Hormuz would reopen, followed by renewed nuclear negotiations focused on Iran’s highly enriched uranium stockpile.
The proposal remains under discussion. The report does not indicate that either government has accepted it.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also held calls Thursday with regional mediators from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Egypt.
Iran Takes Conditions to Moscow
Meanwhile, Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, according to the report.
Rezaei said he delivered a message from Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and discussed Russia’s potential role in helping end the war.
Following the meeting, Rezaei said Iran had presented Washington with seven conditions and would refuse to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or enter negotiations until those demands were met. The supplied report did not identify the seven conditions.
CENTCOM Prepares for Potential Operations
U.S. Central Command is finalizing preparations for the possible resumption of major combat operations against Iran, a U.S. official said. However, the command has not received a new directive from Washington.
Another development to watch is the movement of the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier strike group. A U.S. official said it is scheduled to begin a port visit in Singapore on Friday and would not reach CENTCOM’s area of responsibility before mid-November.
For now, military preparations and diplomatic negotiations are proceeding simultaneously, with Trump’s next decision expected to determine whether the United States intensifies its campaign or pursues an agreement.
