BREAKING: Zelensky in HOT WATER for Bashing Trump, Holds EXPLOSIVE White House Talks!

· Gent Goldstein

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is facing renewed tensions with President Donald Trump’s administration after a dispute over U.S. policy toward Russia, raising fresh questions about whether Kyiv is prepared to support Washington’s efforts to bring the war to an end.

Zelensky spoke Sunday with Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for approximately 40 minutes, discussing the crisis between the two countries and the possibility of an in-person meeting in the coming days. The call marked the first conversation between Zelensky and senior U.S. officials since tensions escalated following Trump’s decision to grant a waiver related to a diesel deal with Russia.

TRUMP DEFENDS PEACE EFFORTS WHILE CRITICIZING ZELENSKY

President Trump defended his decision to grant the waiver, arguing that maintaining a path to negotiations with Moscow must take priority over measures that could undermine a potential peace agreement.

“I am in the process of negotiating Peace in the war between Russia and Ukraine, and don’t want to do anything that will drive, foolishly, Russia away from the bargaining table,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump also accused Zelensky of targeting Russian diesel refineries and questioned whether the Ukrainian leader genuinely wants to end the war.

The dispute highlights a growing divide between Trump’s push to preserve negotiations with Russia and Zelensky’s objections to decisions made by the administration. Trump’s position is that Washington should avoid actions that could drive Moscow away from the negotiating table as it attempts to secure an end to the conflict.

ZELENSKY POINTS FINGER AT TRUMP OVER STARLINK RESTRICTIONS

Zelensky also accused the Trump administration of being behind restrictions imposed on Starlink and Starshield satellite systems used by the Ukrainian military.

Speaking Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press, Zelensky claimed the decision involved the White House and SpaceX, suggesting Trump could personally reverse the restrictions.

“Who made this decision? I don’t know. I think that this is really both [a White House and SpaceX] decision,” Zelensky said.

He further claimed that the message to limit the satellite systems’ capabilities came from the U.S. government, although he acknowledged that he did not know who specifically issued it.

However, Secretary of State Marco Rubio disputed Zelensky’s account Saturday, stating that the U.S. government was not involved in the Starlink restrictions and that service had been restored. Ukrainian officials continue to dispute the administration’s position.

TRUMP’S PEACE STRATEGY FACES PRESSURE

The competing accounts underscore the tensions surrounding Trump’s efforts to restart peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. While Trump has defended his decision to avoid jeopardizing talks with Moscow, Zelensky has publicly challenged the administration over both its Russia policy and the satellite restrictions.

With a possible face-to-face meeting now under discussion, the question is whether Zelensky and the Trump administration can overcome their growing disagreements and move toward negotiations that could finally bring the war to an end.
